what is monk fruit?

Monk fruit is a fruit native to Southern China - it's been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries!

Known also as luo han guo or Siraitia Grosvenorii by its friends, the small melon-shaped fruit is only 15-20x sweeter than sugar.

non-caloric & low-glycemic!

Monk fruit doesn't have any carbs, and is also non-caloric! The sweetening molecules in monk fruit are known as mogrosides, which by themselves, don't cause blood sugar levels to rise.

At minimum, monk fruit is considered low-glycemic, and sometimes (*depends on your individual body and health!) non-glycemic, and is therefore often a favorite for diabetics.

a more natural sweetness

Monk fruit not only doesn't have the bitter or weird aftertaste that affects some stevia products - but it's also known for a more natural sweetness curve.

Because it's less sweet than stevia, the monk fruit sweetness tastes cleaner and more natural. Our candy spikes in sweetness more similarly to standard sugared gummies!
